Apartments in Portugal - Quinta do Retiro
Quinta do Retiro" lies just outside the village of "Covas" which is itself near "Oliveira do Hopital" in the district of "Beira Alta" (Central Portugal). Here we would like to be able to offer you the chance to relax in natural, verdant surroundings.

The Quinta is a small estate set in 9 hectares of it's own grounds and was once a typical small holding or farm, but is now a small scale holiday resort with four self catering luxury apartments, a rental camper, a fully equiped tent and a beautiful ecofriendly swimming pool for communal us by our guests.  

Relax and dream away
"Quinta do Retiro" lies in a small, hidden valley 350 metres above sea level and looks out onto a beautiful terraced landscape. The views are enchanting and ever changing in their effects. Because of it's former life as a farm you can still enjoy the olive and fruit trees as well as the grapevines that dot the property.

Flowing through the property is a small riverlet, the "Rio de Ribelas" which adds to the atmosphere of the Quinta. The sound of water running over the rocks and splashing over the small waterfalls as it cuts it's way across the property is one of the memories that you will carry away with you. At one point it flows beneath a magnificient stand of poplar trees and this is a favourite place to sit and read and generally relax in this wonderfully natural setting.

A place to withdraw
"Retiro" means in Portuguese "a place to withdraw to" and this is precisely what we wish to offer to our guests during their stay with us, a place where you can relax and escape from the stresses of everyday life. All the while enjoying what this captivating area of Portugal can offer to make your stay something to remember and return to time and again.
