Looking for a charming natural campsite in Portugal? Come to Quinta do Retiro where we offer you spacious pitches. The camping part of our quinta is terraced, but the pitches are flat and easily accessible for motorhomes and caravans. The places are divided in such a way that ervery where on the site you will have a beautiful view. This well maintained charming natural campsite in Portugal is highly appreciated by campers who love peace, space and nature. The campsite is open from April 1th to mid October.
The pitches on grass or hard surfaces are very large and not marked, so you will experience privacy. For tent campers and guests with a small camper, there are a couple very nice secluded places available. We can inform you about various walking, cycling and car routes. If you need a swim after a hot day you use our beautifully landscaped natural swimming pool without chlorine or salt.

Facilities
All pitches have a socket for electricity (16 or 10 amp.) and a cold water point nearby. There is a luxurious sanitary building with three spacious (family) bathrooms. In this building you also find the toilets, two washing places and a washing machine for general use. For children there is a playground with climbing frame, swings, slide, sandbox, a large in-ground trampoline, table tennis and not to forget a fantastic natural pool. At the reception is a dumping point for emptying the household and sanitary tanks on your motorhome or caravan. The local baker delivers fresh bread daily.

Reservation prior to arrival/Online booking
Given the limited number of pitches at our quinta it is advisable that you contact us prior to arrival by making use of our reservation form, telephone (+351-235098228) or email (welcome@quintadoretiro.com). Direct online booking and payments can be done on the sites of our partners Pitchup, ACSI or ANWB.
Route
Important! Don’t rely blindly on Google route planner or other navigations systems to avoid problems! Be sure to add as a waypoint the village of Venda da Esperança on N17 to avoid problems. At exit CM1308 follow signs ‘Campismo/Turismo rural’ direction Covas. Keep following road CM1308 until you have to turn right for Vila Nova de Oliveirinha. After a few hundred meters there is a bridge with green/yellow fencing; 200m after this bridge turn right into our campsite.

“This campsite really is lovely. The owners are very friendly, the site is clean and well laid out. Lovely views from our pitch. The toilet blocks are the best I’ve seen and the natural fresh water pool is fantastic – the kids loved it.! The land has pear trees, apple, orange and grape vines on it. It has a lovely natural stream running through the land.
Wifi is also great which is a bonus for the kids. The owner come to check on you to make sure you have everything you need. They order fresh bread from the village daily for each family. They also operate an honesty box for cold drinks at the poolside and use of the washing machine. The toilet blocks also have great dish washing area a fridge and freezer for use by the guests and an ironing board. This really is a lovely site. Bonus they spoke English plus many other languages”.
